2018 > 92 puntos
The red 2018 Viña Ulises is now a blend of 60% Giró and 40% Garnacha (which was Monastrell in the last vintage), aiming for an entry-level red that is light and easy drinking, with 13.5% alcohol and good freshness. It fermented in stainless steel, and 50% of the wine matured in French barriques while the rest was kept in stainless steel for eight months. This could very well be a new wine, a translucent ruby-colored and delicate Garnacha with floral aromas and a lively and velvety palate with very fine tannins and great acidity, an easy-to-drink, refreshing, cool Mediterranean wine. It has already been in bottle for one year and feels very harmonious and approachable. Amazing value too. 15,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2019.
