Color cereza brillante.
Fruta madura, especias dulces, roble cremoso, expresivo.
Sabroso, frutoso, tostado, taninos maduros.
2021 > 93+ puntos
The 2021 Valtosca benefitted from being in the glass for one hour, during which time the wine opened up quite slowly. This is a different wine, not only because it's produced with Syrah but also because it comes from a very different profile in the initial vintages. It's being toned down toward more elegance and balance with darker fruit, powerful, full-bodied but very balanced. It has unnoticeable and nicely integrated oak. 26,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2022 after it matured in 500-liter barrels.
