2021 / 95 puntosRobert Parker The Wine Advocate
The nose of the 2021 Los Yesares is truly spectacular, floral and fresh, with acid berries and blood orange, and depth, complexity and elegance, with an added layer from the La Servil, with more nuance. The palate is clean, precise and focused, like laser cut with purity of flavors, and it has fine-grained, chalky tannins. The wines from 2021 have energy and power. This is not shy; it has 14.5% alcohol, but they all have an ethereal side, like a ballerina, light on their feet but with muscle and no fat. It comes from one of the finest parts of the village, from four vineyards in the zone known as Las Pedreras, where they have a lot of silex. The zone gives something to the wine with reminiscences of Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir, with lots of active limestone and roots that go through the mother rock, and the wines are tense and vertical. In that zone, there's quite a lot of Moravia Agria, some 5%. 3,800 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2023.
