2023 / 93 puntos The light red 2023 Fundamentalista was produced mainly with Bobal but also has other red varieties found co-planted with it in the old vineyards (including around 20% white grapes!), and they consider it their most traditional wine, a field blend fermented with whole clusters that were foot trodden and matured in concrete. It's pale, with a bright ruby color and a very expressive nose that's redolent of red fruit and flowers with a hint of red licorice and an herbal twist. It has a moderate 12.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.66 and a medium-bodied palate with pristine flavors and very fine tannins. It's not only a light wine, it's serious and chalky, with clout. This has to be the most elegant and precise Fundamentalista to date. 17,900 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024.Robert Parker The Wine Advocate / Luis Gutiérrez
