Telleira is a tile factory, and the 2018 Goliardo A Telleira was named after the zone (Meaño, toward Cambados) where they used to make tiles. It was produced with grapes from a single plot of 45-year-old vines on sandy soils with boulders, and it fermented with natural yeasts in 750-liter oak barrels without temperature control and then matured in barrique for 12 months. The single-vineyard Albariños, this and Genoveva, all are done in oak, but this is only 30 meters from the sea on sandy soils, and the wine is intensely saline. Also, the proximity to the sea makes the temperatures lower, and there's a wider temperature difference between day and night as well, so the wines tend to keep very good acidity. The oak is really integrated, and there is a bitter twist mixed with the salinity in the finish. 1,200 bottles were filled in September 2019. The Sketch from Raul Pérez is also produced from this vineyard. -June 2020 Week 2, The Wine Advocate, Luis Gutiérrez-
