El Puntido es un vino tinto con envejecimiento en barrica de la Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja elaborado por Viñedos de Páganos, bodega perteneciente a la familia Eguren.
Disponible la añada 2018, 2017, 2016 y 2015 en formato mágnum y 75cl.
Se produce con uva Tempranillo recolectada del viñedo El Puntido, situado en la subzona de Rioja Alavesa. Ha permanecido 16 meses en barrica bordelesa nueva de roble francés sufriendo un trasiego cada cuatro meses.

The 2019 El Puntido was still very young and energetic, powerful with generous oak and plenty of tannins that need polishing and integration, which should be provided by the time in bottle. It has ripe berries and smoky notes, hints of shoe polish and a darker profile than the 2018 I tasted next to it and with incisive tannins. A powerful Tempranillo with stuffing and balance to mature in bottle. 37,995 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2021 and will be released in September 2022.
2018 > 94 puntos
The 2018 El Puntido is lighter and fresher, with very fine tannins. The wine is in the process of being integrated after spending 16 months in brand-new French oak barrels and resting in tank for six months before bottling. These are powerful and concentrated wines, but in 2018 they are a little lighter. I like them better. 40,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in Dec. 2020. This is usually the last wine to be bottled before the end of the year.
